Publishing makes a form ready for respondents. Sharing gives people a way to reach it. Review the complete respondent experience before distributing a link.

Before you publish

  • Confirm the questions, choices, and required-answer rules are correct.
  • Test every logic path and ending.
  • Check desktop and mobile preview.
  • Complete any payment, upload, consent, or scheduling configuration the form requires.
  • Review your plan and usage, access restrictions, and scheduling settings.

Check the publication state

  1. Open the form in the builder.
  2. Use Preview to test the form.
  3. Review the publication control in the top bar. A form that is already published shows Published.
  4. For an unpublished form, use the available publish action and complete any validation shown.

Confirm changes have saved before sharing. Do not assume a copied link or an open preview means that the form is ready for your audience.

Copy the respondent link

  1. Open Share.
  2. Choose Link.
  3. Select the form language if needed.
  4. Use Copy beside the form share URL.
  5. Open the copied link separately and check the exact experience respondents will see.
Share → Link contains the respondent URL. This screenshot uses a development test form; use the URL shown in your own workspace.

Other sharing options

Embed provides embedding options. Platform and Email provide additional sharing workflows. The Link panel also includes a QR-code control and social sharing controls. Check the destination and settings before sending or publishing anything.

For a branded link, follow Manage your domain and verify domain setup before distributing it.

If respondents cannot open the form

  • Confirm that you copied the respondent URL rather than the builder or preview URL.
  • Check the publication state and saved changes.
  • Review access restrictions and opening or closing schedules.
  • Check plan and usage messages in the workspace.
  • Try the link in the browser and device your audience uses.

After testing, review Results for the intended form. Use synthetic test answers and avoid assuming test submissions are excluded from usage.
