The builder includes an AI assistant for working on your form. Treat its suggestions as a draft: review the questions, choices, settings, and logic before using them with respondents.

Before you start

Open a form you can edit. AI availability and usage depend on your workspace’s current plan. Keep your request focused on the form and avoid entering passwords, API keys, confidential respondent answers, or other information the assistant does not need.

Open the assistant

  1. Open the form’s Design tab.
  2. Select Ask AI to edit to open the assistant.
  3. Describe the change you want, the audience, and any constraints.
Open the assistant from the builder. Review a suggestion before applying it to your form.

Write a useful request

For example: “Draft three short customer-feedback questions about delivery speed, packaging, and overall satisfaction. Use a rating where appropriate and make the comment question optional.”

Be explicit about the outcome you want. Do not assume a general request also configures a payment connection, publishes a form, or validates every logic branch.

Review before applying

  • Read the proposed wording and answer choices.
  • Check required and optional answers.
  • Check any proposed settings or logic changes.
  • Apply the proposal only when it matches your intent.
  • If an undo action is offered, review its scope before using it.

Test the updated form

Preview desktop and mobile views, test validation and every branch, and confirm the changes have saved. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or unsuitable for your audience; you remain responsible for the form you publish.

Conversation history and privacy

The current assistant can load previous conversation history. Do not rely on older guidance that says prompts are never saved. Review the current privacy information and contact support if you need clarification about retention or permitted data before entering confidential content.

If a request fails, check the message shown, your connection, and current AI usage. Avoid repeatedly applying the same change without first checking the form.
