Add a background image
A background should support the questions without reducing their readability.

Steps
- Open Design → Theme and create or edit the intended theme.
- Use Background Img → + Add and select an image you have permission to use. Review the offered crop and brightness controls.
Background media and question media use separate entry points. Select only assets you have permission to use. Choose the intended image source, then review the selected asset before saving. - Keep important text out of the image itself. Check that questions and buttons remain readable over the full background.
- Save the theme and preview short and long questions on desktop and mobile.
After saving, select the intended theme and inspect its application in preview.
Check before you rely on it
Different screen proportions can crop different parts of the background. Keep essential content in the question text.

If an image is slow to load, use a smaller optimized source and retest on a typical mobile connection.
Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
