Request a correction to a submitted response
Do not assume a respondent can reopen and edit a completed response through the original link.
Select a screenshot to enlarge it.
Steps
- If you answered a form, contact the organization that requested it and describe the correction through its stated channel.
- If you manage the form, locate the intended response in Results and review the supported actions and your retention process.
Use the intended date and device filters. The example metrics are not a performance benchmark. Filters affect which records are shown. Clear or widen them when checking a missing response; no query success is implied by this setup screen. - Agree how to record a correction without losing the original context or changing unrelated records. Use a separate documented correction when direct editing is unavailable.
Check before you rely on it
Opening the form again may create another response instead of editing the first one.
If you need help
Direct response-editing and audit behavior need confirmation for your workflow. Do not test corrections on a real respondent record.
Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
