Plan unique respondent codes

A unique-code workflow needs generation, assignment, and validation. A hidden field only carries a supplied value.

Steps

  1. Choose a system that issues codes and defines uniqueness, expiry, and any single-use rule.
  2. If a code reference should accompany a form response, create a hidden field and add the encoded reference to the actual respondent link.
Definitions identify the fields expected in the respondent URL. Supply harmless URL-encoded values when testing.
Use the current respondent URL rather than a builder URL.
  3. Test duplicate, missing, expired, and modified codes against the issuing system before using them for access or rewards.

Check before you rely on it

An editable URL parameter is not a secure voucher or identity check.

If you need help

Automatic code generation and redemption are not established by adding a field named code. Confirm the integration you need.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
