Add CRM values to form links

A CRM or mailing tool can generate a personalized link using its own merge fields. RapidoForm reads the query values that arrive in that link.

Steps

  1. Define the required hidden fields in the form and save them. Prefer non-sensitive campaign or record references.
Definitions identify the fields expected in the respondent URL. Supply harmless URL-encoded values when testing.
  2. Copy the respondent URL and add one query parameter per hidden field.
Use the current respondent URL rather than a builder URL.
  3. Insert your CRM’s supported merge tag as the parameter value, using that tool’s URL-encoding mechanism.
  4. Preview a message for a synthetic contact and inspect the resolved URL. Confirm no merge tag remains literal.
  5. Test a contact with a missing field, then verify the context received by the form.

Check before you rely on it

The CRM’s merge-tag syntax is specific to that provider. Do not paste a Mailchimp tag into another tool and expect it to work.

If you need help

Sending a campaign and collecting a response are separate actions. Verify with test contacts before contacting an audience.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
