Collect file uploads
Use File Upload when respondents need to provide a document or other file. Ask only for files you need and can handle securely.

Steps
- Add File Upload and explain the purpose and acceptable file content in the question.
- Open Question options and review Maximum uploaded files. The current panel labels its supported maximum as 100; the displayed default is an example.
Current upload options from a synthetic development form. Review the controls offered for your selected question. - Check Mark Optional and any plan or upload message. Use a harmless sample file to test the respondent flow and inspect the saved attachment.
Example Upload Files entry. Preview is a layout check; saved answers, attachments, and completion require separate tests. - If forwarding files to Google Drive, configure and verify that connection separately.
Check before you rely on it
This guide does not promise a file-size allowance or unlimited storage. Verify actual upload restrictions for your workspace.
If you need help
Do not upload identity documents or confidential files just to test. Check failed uploads before assuming a response includes its attachment.
Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
