Use a numeric answer to capture an intended contribution, but verify that your payment configuration can use that amount before collecting money.

Steps

  1. Choose the currency, any minimum contribution, and the purpose of the payment. Explain these beside the amount question.
  2. Add a Number question with clear instructions and configure its allowed range.
  3. Inspect the Payment question’s available amount controls and connected account. Confirm with support whether the selected provider supports the intended dynamic amount.
An offered provider is not an authenticated payment account. Use supported sandbox testing before collecting money.
  4. Test zero, minimum, maximum, and invalid inputs in a sandbox flow.
This deliberately unconnected example shows why payment-account setup must be verified before sharing a payment form.
  5. Compare the contribution answer, displayed summary, and provider amount before sharing the form.

Check before you rely on it

A Number question alone does not create or authorize a payment. Never describe an unconnected payment question as ready to accept donations.

If you need help

The supported binding between a respondent answer and the payment amount still needs provider-specific verification.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
